Heat Wave is designed by Tycen Rhodes (Fall 2024)

Tycen is a Minnesota-born fine artist and graphic designer whose talents span all manner of visual communications, from illustration to brand strategy, product design, and user experience.

Tycen graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing in Graphic Design. After completing his BFA, he moved to Boulder, Colorado, and worked as a graphic designer with Finish Line. There, he partnered with iconic brands like Nike, Adidas, Puma, Birkenstock, and others.

Behind the design: Drawing inspiration from the Walker's Keith Haring: Art is for Everybody exhibition (4/27-9/8/24), KFAI's logomark will be activated with new appendages and action lines as if it's ready to bop, bounce, and bound right down the street!
